Why We Only Accept Cryptocurrency

Credit cards create surveillance trails. Here's why LainCollective is crypto-only.

Every credit card transaction creates a permanent record linking your identity to your purchase. For a privacy company, accepting credit cards would undermine the very principles we stand for.

The Credit Card Problem

When you pay with a credit card, the following parties have access to your transaction data:

  • Your bank
  • The card network (Visa, Mastercard)
  • The payment processor
  • The merchant’s bank
  • Any intermediary services

That’s at minimum five organizations that know exactly what you bought, when, and where. This data is routinely shared with law enforcement, sold to data brokers, and used for targeted advertising.

Why Monero is Our Top Recommendation

While we accept 50+ cryptocurrencies, we recommend Monero (XMR) for maximum privacy:

  • Ring signatures obscure the sender
  • Stealth addresses protect the recipient
  • RingCT hides transaction amounts
  • Dandelion++ obscures network origin

Bitcoin, while pseudonymous, leaves a transparent trail on the blockchain that can be analyzed by chain surveillance firms. Monero’s privacy is built into the protocol itself.

How It Works

  1. Select your product (eSIM or Privacy Phone)
  2. Choose your preferred cryptocurrency
  3. Send payment to the generated address
  4. Receive your product — no identity linked

We use NowPayments for processing, which supports 50+ cryptocurrencies and requires no KYC on the buyer’s end.
